We had SO MUCH FUN coming up with this design. Nepali women LOVE to dance and dancing is a form of celebration and connection. It was a no brainer to have a dancing woman as a symbol of celebration and connection for an event like Christmas. Even though most Nepalis are Hindu or Buddhist, many are very familiar with Christmas and the rituals associated with it! These tree ornaments use a hand carved lino stamp based on de3signs created by the Samunnat women. The stamp is applied to a Skinner Blend of polymer clay, a subtle gradation of colour. Then each one is decorated (painstakingly by hand!) with minuscule mirrors, just like Nepali Shisha embroideries. They are simply gorgeous! Measures 10.5 × 8 (at widest point) cm. Loop is approx 13cm
